Watain: Trident Wolf Eclipse (2018) – for 9C

Over at Nine Circles I wrote about the new album from Swedish black metal trio Watain. Trident Wolf Eclipse is a solid enough album, and a step up from the band’s 2013 The Wild Hunt.  Problem is, with so many black metal bands creeping up with fresh and invigorating takes on the genre, I wonder if “solid” is enough…
